I finally got around to playing this game and I really adore the visuals, the character/monster design is incredibly and unique, and the majority of the sound design (at the beginning) and all of the music really cohesively blend well together to make an oddly comforting and unsettling vibe.

The mini games are great to give my zoomy brain a break, a good diversion from the story.

The pacing is also commendable too, allowing me to ease into the world and the premise.

My main criticism is with the voice over, which in a sense I'm pretty particular/picky with because it's my area of expertise.

The actors aren't mixed too evenly, which wasn't bad for the majority of the time but it did get distracting from time to time. I also think there could have been stronger acting choices to convey their character more.

But regardless, this is definitely a juggernaut of a project, and I can't wait to see more from this team! Great job everyone.

Hi EeeCee, thank you so so much for checking out TSUL and for leaving your thoughtful feedback! I will certainly be relaying your review to the team.

The VA audio mixing was a bit of a struggle for our audio team. For one, a huge majority of our team was completely new to visual novel game design. We didn't have the scope to offer live direction and so our VAs only had the script and story (they also submitted takes in the final week of the jam((something we would definitely not aim to replicate for future endeavors lol)), so we were all scrambling). Nonetheless, we came through with what we could have and I know our team is proud for the amount of polish we were able to achieve in such a short period of time!

Thank you again for checking us out, it really means a whole lot. Cheers, and Happy Spooktober!
