I had the same reaction as well-- our UI team Rem and Windchimes really knocked it out of the park! Thank you for playing. <3

Thank you for your kind words and very fair criticism! I definitely learned the importance of setting deadlines and programming is not as simple as I naively thought. But with the bit of time we had we wanted to at least made the parts we had come out it's best so I'm glad you acknowledge that! Thank you again for giving the time to play and review the game. :)
I actually really adore this game! While it doesn't have the polish of other games, what I adore is the premise and writing-- it really lets me ease into horror parts of the game. Something that really stuck out to me was Mrs.Potts because she was the first choice I did to get ingredients, I forgot that I was playing something Spooktober related until I saw her turn around, that and what she said to me was the right amount of unnerving.
The mini games are good and adds to subvert your expectations, though I wish there was some variety to them?
Overall, this game is really promising, something I'd like to see again with more of a polish, especially with the UI, lack of sound design and the like. I can't wait to see more!
This experience was rather interesting! The visual presentation is amazing, it was others mentioned Tim Burton-esque, and also a little like Don't Starve as well, and I think there can be more games in general that should be that style so good on you! My biggest point of criticism is the voice acting, while it is very nice to have the quality and mixing is pretty stark in it's difference, particularly Martha. I also don't feel like there could be more stronger acting choices (this is coming from someone who really wants to work in this field, so don't be disheartened!)
Otherwise, it's an interesting premise, and after stumbling around to find the story I really digged the overall style of the whole thing-- truly promising! Great job
I was pleasantly surprised with this game having a different style than other VN games, for one the visual style is very pretty, that coupled with a lovely soundtrack and witty writing reminds me of games like Oxenfree or Night in the Woods. These are high praise comparisons, because I adore those games! Like others stated, you are only held back by the amount of time you had, with the cinematics and sound effects that could just round out that presentation.
I really really like what's promised though, consider me a fan! I can't to see more from this group :)
I can tell this game has a great vision-- the presentation is definitely catered and only held back by the limitations of time. The music is beautiful, I caught myself pausing especially in the flashback and stargazing segments to listen to it. The hand-drawn style art is great, and with the writing it all sort of feels like Omori in a very nice way.
I hope to hear more voice acting, everything I heard was nice and it keeps my zoomies brain engaged. Great job to everyone involved!
I finally got around to playing this game and I really adore the visuals, the character/monster design is incredibly and unique, and the majority of the sound design (at the beginning) and all of the music really cohesively blend well together to make an oddly comforting and unsettling vibe.
The mini games are great to give my zoomy brain a break, a good diversion from the story.
The pacing is also commendable too, allowing me to ease into the world and the premise.
My main criticism is with the voice over, which in a sense I'm pretty particular/picky with because it's my area of expertise.
The actors aren't mixed too evenly, which wasn't bad for the majority of the time but it did get distracting from time to time. I also think there could have been stronger acting choices to convey their character more.
But regardless, this is definitely a juggernaut of a project, and I can't wait to see more from this team! Great job everyone.
This game's sense of style is really something, it gives Salad Finger-esque vibes where the art is not polished but it's within a purpose, which is something I really like. The music and sound design also follows the style which makes the overall presentation pretty great. I thought there would be more interaction like in the beginning, but there wasn't any more sadly. Well done to this team!
I really enjoyed the the visual style of the game, it's very specific and reminds me of something like Don't Starve or Coraline especially with the backgrounds. The Character designs are cool too, everyone is super dreamy and that is elevated with the voice acting which is pretty high quality! That, along the premise made the experience pretty enjoyable. The only notes I'd offer is that some of the pacing is fairly slow, especially with the approach to focus on one character at a time so the the investigative aspects feel rather thin, also some of the music choices didn't really fit but is mostly serviceable. Otherwise, I hope to see more from this project!
Thank you very much for your review! I appreciate all you said here :)
I very much agree with your sentiment, and that definitely is something I knew upon submission that we want to expand on this front, so I'm talking to the artist to add more content for a final update post jam. But I absolutely understand and take responsibility for this build's aspect.
Hello! I am a Voice Over director that's really interested in providing voices for your game! I am willing to cast actors with you, direct them to provide the best performances for your game.
I also want to try my hand in creating stories as well, as I love how games can provide their own way of stories as well! I largely only have GM-ing and watching dozens of video essays before bed as my experience, but I think I can give a really good try!
My only experience is that I am currently modding Coffee Talk 2 to be fully voiced, here's a trailer of it if you're interested.
Hi! Are you still looking for a Story Writer? I definitely want to try this if I can-- I have no official experience but I promise to be communicative to perform the best I can :)
I also have experience in VO and Voice direction with my acting degree, with my only dev experience is modding a visual novel!
