It’s not that I dislike romance dramas, but… from the start of the game, Parents have been interfering—there’s no denying it. To them, romance is nothing more than a biochemical reaction. They have a reason to do this to achieve their goals. They might even mislead you into thinking they aren’t omnipotent—unless Parents truly have suffer a defeat once...
Im very passionate(and autistic) about this vn so i don't like when someone misinterprets it to this deegre, even saying the vn is "satire"
ngl, your takes on Adastra kind of reminded me of a The Owl House take i saw where someone says that Luz is a spoiled brat that made Amity's and Hunter's lives worse by "distracting them from success"(she took Hunter away from his abuser and made Amity stand up to her abusive mom)

there's the Meera ending(wich Khemia implies that it's the canon one) where Marco forces the parents to tell him the entire plan so when he goes back to earth he has the parents at his mercy, he knows tasks he'll have to do and can choose wether or not he wants to do them in advance and force the parents to come up with another way.
I don’t think this explains how, after receiving Amicus’s response, these actions could have a real impact on the Parents' plans.
One of the standards I suppose for a good ending is that the right people are doing the right things. I think Amity and Hunter have achieved this—they’ve each become a better person through these events.
But the question is, has Marco done the same? What specific benefits has this journey brought him? I don’t think the answer is simply that he gained the courage to be himself, nor that he improved his arrogant attitude, because neither of these were really issues, and I don’t see how they would impact his life on Earth.

But i guess everyone has their own interpretation of something even if they got it wrong, like for example that bs take on TOH, Jelloapocalypse horrible video about Adventure Time and Lily Orchard's also horrible retrospective on Pokémon(those are what your take reminded me of)

Like we all know: Everyone has their unique perspective and opinions. Our whole life experience gives us a way of looking at the world that is different to all the others. We cannot be arrogant and assume our perspective is truth.
What is true is what is consistent across multiple perspectives.
Hazime makes some valid points. You need to entertain some thoughts which may go against your values/beliefs, but his beliefs are quite common and rooted in evolution and utilitarian morality. Terribly bleak, but nonetheless consistent enough that it has truth to it.
My unique experience, besides learning about evolution and utilitarianism, is also psychoanalysis. This is not the first time the writer has a negative association with "parents". Chase, in the beginning of Echo, has a bad relationship with his parents. So does Leo. So does Jenna. So does Carl. My gut is telling me they associate parents, even the cosmic ones, as something negative. They may have had a bad childhood growing up in order to form such an association. But I caught onto it.
That's why I think Hazime is onto something and shouldn't be dismissed so easily. It is understandable that you have your version of reality, but others have theirs too. No ones is 100% correct. You have to give them just a little credit and also be willing to try on new perspectives to see their points. Its uncomfortable putting down your version of reality, even if it is just for a moment, but I promise you it wont harm you in the least. If anything, it broadens your horizons and you may learn something new.
I get what you mean, like i said everyone has their own interpretation of something, but there truly are times when what someone says is just plain wrong
The examples i used:
Jelloapocalypse's video about Adventure Time is horrible because he really gets the show wrong, saying stuff like "the arcs go nowhere and the characters don't grow as people"(said "arcs" are either from one off episodes about the side characters to show they have lives too and are not about introducing any new major side characters, or arcs that don't have conclusions yet because the show was literally still ongoing when the video was made), some of his critisims are understandable(like what he said about Breezy) but the thing is: a lot of them stop being valid after season 2, and sometimes he says stuff that makes it look like he either didn't watch the entire show and just read a summary of the rest online or didn't pay attention to it, like criticising that the Lich was imprisoned in amber for 5 seasons when in reality it was only for 2, he's disingenuous and unusually mean spirited during the video, for some reason he thought it was a good idea to say that the entire crew of the show are brainless idiots(except Rebecca Sugar, for some reason he puts them as the only good one).
And Lily Orchard's video about Pokémon is worse, she refuses to engage with anything, mashes the "A" button trough the dialogue and it seems like she just wants to get to the end as fast as possible, her critisisms are bs, she complains about having to read, that the games try to tell a story and that the games are challenging(and why wouldn't they be, she hacks the games from gen 3 onwards to switch the starter for a Ralts and Ralts has weaker stats than the starters) and her takes on gen 5 are the worse, she loathes N just because he makes her read, mischaracterizes him and even sides with Ghetsis(N's abuser) at one point.
I don't think i need to say why that take on The Owl House is bad.

Thanks for entertaining either way. As for those media, except for 2 episodes of Owl House? I did not watch. I didn't feel like commenting on something I knew nothing about. My focus was on Adastra and the concept of free will, how it ties to "controlling parents", and the morals of either blindly going against them or going with them. Especially when the writer has a history of portraying literal parents (mothers/fathers) as detrimental to their child's mental and physical well being in Echo (and now in Arches).
As for the rest of your comment... I didnt get because I can't. I never watched those... And I prefer to hold my tongue on subjects I don't know. I'm only bothering to comment because I think you can benefit from looking at things with a new perspective. Hazime made a valid (yet unpopular) point. You lacked the context to understand his point and insisted it was untrue. I gave extra context from my perspective why I think it might be true. Im not looking to argue but to hopefully clear things up and broaden your perspective. Take it or leave it after you consider all the perspectives. That's all man.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and not everyone has to like the same things. There are no objectively wrong opinions; that's what makes them opinions.
I find it funny how even Adastra haters love Neferu as a character lol, no one can disagree that, despite being a jackal, he is goated. At first I thought I wouldn't like him and now he's one of my favourite characters ever
