This was neat! It got straight to the point and was really well structured. Everything worked. I don't think I had any major issues.  I noticed with some battles I was taking 0 damage or consistently getting missed when the enemies used just "attack" but that's about it, balance wise. I liked all the different skill options and the items selection. It felt like I got a LOT of gold and was able to just go nuts with items haha.

It was definitely repetitive in parts, made it feel a little slow to get through. I actually really like the way the progress was structured but since it's such a core part of the game I think it needs to feel more ... different. Idk. I actually have a similar issue in my game, as you progress down there's no indication that things have changed and it gets really repetitive. So i mean it when I say I get why it's hard to flesh out things like that with the jam time constraint.

I hope you keep going with it, it looks like you have a lot of plans!

Thank you very much! For rating, encouragement and advice! I'm glad it didn't have any major issues while you're playing it too. Yea, I didn't have time to clean up and fix when submission was close, but I hoped I fixed everything by the time everyone started playing it. I'm still learning my way through RPGmaker (and Itch.io creator content...) despite having played around with it for a while, but this had been an amazing experience for my first gamejam so far, so I thank for the opportunity for me to submit for an event I'm comfortable of.

Yep, I have a lot of plans to improve graphically and mechanically in my game devving! As someone with 0 skills in either though, it'll take time, but I am definitely going to be dedicated to put a lot more in the sequels. For the core mechanic, it'll be different in the next game, but I will bring this one over to the next game as its own separate content, with more cleaner workings as well! Alongside a lot of things, which at my skill again will take so much time, but still! This had been motivating and I'm glad that you played, enjoyed and advised for my game!
