Hey, do you remember the event in question? I can definitely get that sorted. Also, did you get any dialog first? The options are typically hidden until dialog finishes, so I wonder if the dialog failed to trigger.

Save files are kept in %appdata%/roaming/forestinn - Back up your save and start a new game and see if the problem persists (if you want to keep playing with the new version). I will, in the meantime, test with old version save and see if i can replicate the problem.
