Looks absolutely amazing, lovely pixel art and visual effects, and overall very well polished! I don't really see how it fits the theme though, I noticed that sometimes the the shocked orbs would have lines connecting them but that didn't seem to do anything. I'm also not sure if I got to the end, at some point empty rooms started repeating so I assumed there just isn't a proper end yet? Still though, considering it's a work in progress this could be a very good basis for a bigger game, and once again, the level of polish is outstanding!

Thanks, and you’re absolutely correct! I ran out of time for:

  1. The connection mechanic - the line of electricity between orbs was supposed to power switches on the wall. The switches would, in turn, open gates blocking your shots. So shooting the orbs in the correct order would have been part of the challenge in levels.

  2. An ending - The last level (empty room) just repeats forever (with the background getting more and more broken because the texture resolution is non-power-of-2.

Ah I see! The power switch idea is great, I was thinking that more mechanics that lean toward the puzzle aspect would be a good direction, and that would nicely fill that blank. A shame you weren't able to implement these in time, but the end result is still great and I would love to see where this goes if you end up working on it more :3
