Great work!  The music for this gets me super amped up!  One thing that tripped me up was the window scaling isn't set right, I'm on an ultrawide monitor (which I hate but it's the spare that works) and since it auto-fullscreens, the menus get cut off.  And since you don't actually need to move for the first levels, but on the spinner, I wondered if the aspect was messing something up.  But I enjoyed those first levels enough to get onto another computer, and that's when I clicked on the actual game page to see WASD.  FWIW, I think not moving actually plays pretty well.

I definitely recommend having an options screen for audio, full screen and something to show the controls because it's so easy to miss things.  I think I've probably played a dozen stationary laser games at this point so that's definitely where my head's at.  And in this case, where the ratings page has the download link so it's easy to totally skip the main page.

And since I've now read the main page, I'm really impressed with extra short time period.  Also I love the level sub text, they had me grinning the whole time.  Great job!

For reference, here's what it looks like on my monitor:

P.S I hadn't considered just making the player static, that could've made it much more effective!

Thanks so much for playing and for the great feedback! It's actually a 3D game made to look 2D, just because I've never made a 2D game so wasn't sure how to scale it properly. Ironic that that's what's made it fall apart for you on your ultrawide monitor haha.

Really appreciate you going back and giving it another shot though. It definitely needed an options menu, just ran out of time as you said, I only had the weekend to work on it. I definitely could've put the controls on the main menu though, that's a great point that I hadn't considered about game jam games. Will bear that in mind for future.

Thanks again for playing!
