I'm Arcain! I'm from the United States, and I've participated in 3 game jams since the year started, and I hope to end the year with one more! I've done all my game jams solo, but I'm open to being in a team as well if anyone is interested in working with me.

I have all my games posted on my profile, and my most recent one is Foxfire Alchemy, and I'm very proud of the mechanics of that one (getting fire to spread is surprisingly difficult). However, I'm most proud of my second game's story, Mind or Body, but I do wish I spent more time making better mechanics for it.

I think I'm most excited to try and make something for the Mystical Forest, Winter Wonders, or Tales by the Fire themes! They all sound nice, and if it's allowed I might even try an idea that combines multiple themes.

Pirate Software inspired me to start creating games, and I've participated in both of the game jams he held this year. He helped me realize how much fun creating games was, and I really recommend people to check out his content if you haven't heard of him. Despite the name, his content doesn't have anything to do with Pirating Software

Hi Arcain, welcome!

We’re so glad to have you here, and wow—three game jams this year? That’s amazing! It’s great that you’ve been jamming solo but are open to teaming up. Who knows, maybe you’ll find the perfect group to collaborate with soon!

Foxfire Alchemy sounds like a really fun challenge—getting fire to spread can definitely be tricky, but that’s what makes it so rewarding when it works, right? And I love that you’re proud of the story in Mind or Body—stories have such a lasting impact, and it’s cool that you’ve been able to experiment with both mechanics and narrative.

It’s exciting that you’re eyeing the Mystical Forest, Winter Wonders, or Tales by the Fire themes for the next jam. Combining them could lead to something really unique and creative!

Thanks for the recommendation of Pirate Software, too. It’s always great to see how creators inspire each other, and it’s clear you’re already doing that yourself with your own work!

Best of luck in the next game jam—we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
