What a blast and what a unique concept I finished it after a larger number of runs than I'd care to admit. It's really cool combining move speed, RNG, and layout memorization to make this. I've never even seen a game like this. It was frantic, almost too hard (can anyone actually beat it on hard mode? I barely made it on normal). The sound work was fantastic, voiced sounds are my favorite thing and you nailed it with those. I have always dreamed of doing that for a game jam so congrats. The music is nice, keeps the pace well. I feel like tapping the movement was a little tiring and the direction sprint would sometimes not trigger when pressing in one direction or another. I like the idea of matching weapons to weaknesses and those being random so you can't just reliably aim for a specific ones. I wouldn't mind if there was an indicator of where items were after you picked it up and if there was colored portals. By the end I was finding all the items, taking pictures on my phone and making map with letter tags to link portals. Maybe that adds to the memorization fun haha. The enemy drawings are great, creepy and strange. I agree with everyone else that a tutorial would be nice, especially for how weaknesses work, it took me a little while to figure out how to trigger those. Overall though this is one of the most complex adaptations to a simple games I've played so far and I really enjoyed it and I usually don't go for speed running type games.
