I'm glad you liked it! I would love to see someone take this concept farther, there definitely is potential. I feel like combining regular rendering with the noise effect would be really cool for a game. Also the linux version was by far the easiest to export. It's mac and windows that are hard
@Branta Games Yeah this could easily be a javascript game. Maybe even WebASM if you want more advanced stuff. I think I have ideas for better shading even, better ways of achieving similiar effects, such as "structures" within the noise. (Maybe sacrifice the idea of "even" noise across the screen and scatter patterns around the edges of objects.)
If I ever have time I'll write this code in JS and put it on a public site here.
