The game was based off of an actual Nightclub in the City of Chicago called Neo. It was my official hang out from 2003-2015 and I would design anime style trading cards for the bar staff and the patrons of the Nightclub. In 2007, Dann the Barback and I came up with an idea for a video game because I used to joke around about how Dann had to clear the club out of monsters before the club opened for the night. I came up with some concepts but put the game on the shelf until I actually had the technology to put the game together. So in 2022, I secretly worked on the graphics at work until I was able to learn how to put the game together thanks to the release of Nesmaker. I think my favorite part of designing the game was recreating the actual club itself and creating all the monsters and obstacles that Dann has to deal with every night at work. The music was created by Rado Prado and it really made the game more addictive to play. We thought it made sense that since the game took place in a nightclub, it needed some really good music tracks reflecting the actual music played at the nightclub.

This is so interesting! Your time and effort really shine through in the great outcome.

What would you say are your main goals for the game—such as growing a player base, increasing engagement, or generating revenue? Have you encountered any challenges in reaching those goals so far?

It was mainly to complete a childhood dream of mine to make a Nintendo game. It's something I have always wanted to do but couldn't because of the many roadblocks getting in the way but once Nesmaker was released, it changed the game completely.

That's amazing! It’s inspiring to hear how you turned a childhood dream into reality, especially with the help of Nesmaker. Overcoming those roadblocks must have made the achievement even more rewarding.

I’m curious, how are you currently promoting the game or engaging with the community?
