I AM RATING THESE ALL THESE JAM SUBMISSIONS RELATIVE TO ONE ANOTHER. THERE ARE HIGH HIGHS AND LOW LOWS BUT PLEASE DON’T TAKE THIS TOO PERSONALLY, AFTERALL, WE ALL ONLY HAD A MONTH.
Implementation of Theme (1):
The theme implementation was unclear. I thought that the wolf’s titties kept expanding but that was probably just me. I do remember that the main developer said something about someone’s past being expanded upon or something along those lines.
Story (1):
Now that I’m writing all of these Jam Reviews in Decembers, my score of 1 was a little harsh but something had to get the lowest overall score of 4 and this caught my ire more than anything else. I don’t think remember much besides it being funny how much the MC lusts over the size difference MY WOLF’s ass.
Presentation (1):
Aldin’s sprites could not save the fact that this is a VN that has no flourish. I don’t believe that there are any transitions for sprites. Two people worked on the soundtrack that went completely unused. Even now, I don’t know what those tracks were. The VN is completely silent.
Creativity (1):
Also I think that my score of 1 for this was a little harsh for this too. Having the MY WOLF be a secret agent of some sorts was a neat twist.
Total (4):
I remember when we were debating the rules for this Jam back in fall of 2023, people wanted there to be a limit on how many team members a team could have. I decided against that and one thing that I kept saying was “The bigger they are, the harder they fall” and Pursuit truly encapsulates that philosophy. I do hope that someone from this teams eventually salvages was left behind. There is potential in this.
The sex scene was very hot and would have beat my schmeat if I wasn’t disappointed by the rest of the VN.
