Implementation of Theme (3):
I’ve read The Lottery but I have not read The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas or whatever you said was one of your main inspirations for this. This was an experience that expanded how needed to think about my reality more than Imperfect Facets. I don’t know anything about “Ephemeralalala Expanding” or whatever I jotted down in my notes about this. I don’t know how it works, but it works.
Story (3):
After having my metaphorical vagina blown off with As Long As We Both Shall Live, I was expecting another curveball from Rag but this curveball was spicier than I even I ever expected.
I could never write something like this that has so much narration without going insane myself. The writing put me into a trance. Every time I want to write, “this could have been shorter”, I slap myself to remind myself that this is just how Apathesis be!
Presentation (2):
Most of Cerus’s effects were nice additions. I think during the flashback scene, there could have been a sepia filter overlay. Somehow all of the backgrounds work for this entire experience without pulling me out of it. Except The Bed—I’m looking at you The Bed
Creativity (4):
This was the one VN where one had to use one’s brain to get to the end. There’s no chubby wolf to entice people to win. This tested the FVN Community’s media literacy which is a very temperamental thing. I got it on the first try but not everyone is like me. 💅

I still don’t now what Apathesis even means and I feel like not knowing that is part of the experience.
As of writing this, I have not boyfailed myself into Boyfail Inc. but I have high standards for Rag’s Furry VN Jam Submissions.
If I ever find someone who is really not into M/M romances and what’s to try an unconventional VN, I know exactly what to punt them in the gonads with.
