All right, since this is unranked, i'm gonna try and be critique so it might seem brutal don't be too offended. I think I know your style pretty much by now and the main thing I see is the execution, the way its played. Correct me if i'm wrong but it seems like a one take being played track witouth any correction after in the DAW especially the rythmic part because I think thats the main thing, its not following the tempo and its a bunch of crazy chords, you probably know your chords but maybe not exactly how they work well together which is why some people might think it sounds sometimes pretty weird. I think you have very interesting ideas that I would not think of but if you want it to be more pleasant to the ear, fixing with some quantization or doing a better take would make everything much more enjoyable, maybe you like it the way it is I don,t know but its my main feedback. Going into the mix itself its pretty decent you have a good arrangement of lows, percs and highs, maybe some mastering to make it punch a bit more can be beneficial.
you know what we have not done yet Fox
is seen me use the 88-key Roland ONLY to record the note values
and whole cloth throw-OUT the entirety of the exported WAV and only pull the standard MIDI so all tones are mix-craft derived
because from there i might have better quantization luck moving wholly in the software realm
and then utilize online synth tones and effects....
an idea for the future!
Much appreciated your feedback.
I don't know how mixcraft works, but in other DAWs you can play with quantize and not be limited to 1/32, you can add a touch of humanization and how much you want to quantize. You have to be critique and look carefully when you do it to obviously not over do it, it's not a select all quantize work. You have to be more precise with it.
