Issue with already unlocked stuff is weird, have you tried resetting the game with the icon in the taskbar? Also there is background music, you might need to turn up the volume a bit, as it's initially too quiet (just set the ingame volume to max), as I've heard from multiple people already. Next thing I would add is surely more SFX for a more round feeling!
