Amazing game!

I like the gameplay loop once i got used to the controls! But i will say i do think that, even when the game is meant to be hard, there are a few more conveniences you could leave the player to make it a smoother experience. My main suggestions are:

  1. Allow the player to continue moving while throwing scissors. I think with the speed of opponents and their projectiles, there is a needlessly narrow window between dashing and strafing to also shoot without getting hit. I think the game has enough controls to input at once to avoid taking damage that stopping the player doesnt need to be an added hurdle. Im a big proponent that a player's impaired movement being part of the difficulty hinders the experience of a game thats already intrinsically difficult.
  2. This may stand in the way of some strategies, but personally its hard to keep track of the scissors when sometimes they overshoot you when reeling them back in. I think for simplicity's sake, it would be better if they came straight back to you after scrolling, and didnt require constant scrolling to come back.

But thats not to say i dont like the difficulty. On the contrary I think theres a lot of room to make some more interesting dimensions of difficulty here too! Such as bosses with moves that could limit the efficacy of some player moves, like the dash, or attacks that temporarily limit your available scissors, keeping the player on the run for a time. But regardless, you def have a banger on your hands!
