Cute game! The storytelling is by far my favorite part! Is very clean and reads well.
I think the aiming could do with some work though. It feels a bit awkward to have to use both WASD and arrows in this way personally, and might have preferred if it was either tied to mouse position or just in the player's facing direction.
I also noticed that its easier to get through the game without fighting any enemies, so may be something to consider for the future.
Still loved it tho!

Really like the story, keeps you real intrigued!
The sound aspect could do with some work though, a lot of the unexpected contact sound effects and constant static was kinda disorienting.

The presentation of the story is wonderful and unique!
Unfortunately I ran into a bug on the second file where my character flew off screen and couldnt come back.
I also like the momentum of the shots, but I do think the force of the blasts as it stands are a little tricky to the point that a tutorial may be in order.

OMG thats pretty funny, also not sure why that happened, ill have to look into it

Sorry about the movement bug.

I implemented a save function, but I didn't put in the extra effort to load in at different points in the story cuz of the extra bugs I knew itd cause 😅 Glad you enjoyed what you played tho!

Thanks! During testing I had a complaint that it was way too hard, so I panic "easy-fied" it haha

Love the opening intro! Though I think it would be better without the voice to go with it. Its a bit dissonant with the tone of the cutscene and the other sounds/visuals.

As for the gameplay, I like the concept, though I think the aiming would be better not having the arc height being tied to the duration of the mouse held time. Because it makes it so that higher angle jumps are ALWAYS high power jumps, which isnt always desired and makes the mechanics hard to play naturally. I think with some tweaks though its a fun game!

I will never forgive you for the tears you injected into my eyes ;_;

10/10 game

Gah! Amazing game as always. Wonderful story, great art, compelling atmosphere.
Plus I loved the Throw a Punch reference at the end hehe

That is a great observation, thanks for bringing up!
Getting the overall speed of the game right has been one of the bigger challenges for sure.

I like the story at the beginning, very interesting!
For the game though, I think it would help if the starting prep area had the UI interactable areas highlighted to more easily indicate what it is the player should be doing at first

Ahh so happy to see this game come back! The intro cutscene was very cute.

Admittedly a little sad the gameplay loop (i.e. skill tree and more levels) wasnt expanded, I was really looking forward to it haha

Ah, those weird physics things were definitely terrain sculpting issues where I didnt properly smooth out slopes, thats my bad.

Glad you liked the rest though! I really wanted to make more music, but I had to focus on bug fixes and polish. Next round for sure tho!

Ah damn... thats tru thats tru 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥

(Bug Joke Count: 9)

Haha thank you!

The intro cutscene was made using Unity's Timeline tool. Makes it easy to animate a bunch of objects in a scene like that.

Ah! Sorry to hear you had trouble with the cannons. Theres definitely a lot of room to improve with the projectile system.

But I'm glad you liked everything else!

Ah sorry to hear you had issues with the projectiles.

There were tooltips and dialogue in the training camp that explained how the projectiles worked, but as I thought it was a little too much info to dump on the player at once. (And tough to maneuver)

Fun game! I love the mechanic of Pitandra being too enamored by doggo to seduct lol. genius

There are some technical issues, such as the aiming not perfectly matching the mouse (I know this sorta thing can be hard to properly align on browser), and holding the dog doesnt always work as expected. But still great overall!

Love the chunkiness of the art style!

Essentially playing fetch is a wonderful implementation of the 2 tasks.

You also got me wanting to know more, so good job haha

I am enamored by the visuals of this game!

The story is simple but effective. I really appreciate how well the game's loop handles, feels crispier than BBB in round 1.
+10 points for being an autobattler, of course

Haha this opening cutscene is tooo true to life, but I love it.

It would be nice if a new wave of bugs swarmed in after clearing the first, but obviously with time constraints there was gonna be room for improvement. Still, love the concept!

The visuals for the intro cutscene are excellent!

And I like how well the story justifies the mechanics as well.

Stone Seeker 2 crow is my new best friend.

Gosh! Another spectacular entry to the Shift Shape saga! The concepts for the animal and projectiles are soooo well conceived and the atmosphere perfectly matches the intended vibe. 10/10

A tried and true case of a sequel that outclasses the original.

Every element of the game is refined and polished here, especially the gameplay loop and the visuals, great work.

Love how well the cutscene conveys the story despite being simple stills with audio! Wonderful job

Ohhh my goodness!
This has to be my favorite evolution of game concept from Round 1 to 2!!!
This story had me sooooo emotional, and thats not even mentioning the great mechanics this time round. Terrific job

Stellar gameplay! The mechanics are so simple yet so meticulous, and all the levels are extremely clever!

The music is also extremely bangin!

Simple, yet fun and addictive!
The intro cutscene is also really great!

Very fun! Love the mechanics, the flow of movement and the cutscenes! The use of the animals is all really fleshed out and works crisply

My ooonly issue is that I feel like the gravity should be a little less heavy. I think your player sinking like a rock just feels like an unnecessary burden on the smoothness of the mechanics

The pew pew noises from the gun are spectacular

This game is (aside from a couple bugs) absolutely perfect!
I legit got teary eyed while playing. The visuals and music are just *chefs kiss*

Very charming color and style! So OG gameboy-esque
I love the story too haha! Simple and sweet

Ahhh thank you sooo much! Im so glad especially that everything gels together well.

And don't worry, its not just in your head. I spent weeks between rounds just refining the motion haha

Thanks so much!!
Yeahhh its hard coming up with a sweet and simple shooting system when its stuck on a rolling ball, but I'll try to improve it as time goes on.
(Honestly I shoulda just given the player a BUNCH of cannons so they could shoot like crazy)

Oh! Sorry to hear that!
I'd love to hear if you have any suggestions for how to make the camera feel less annoying.

Oh its absolutely feasible! At least for round 2.
I have the code from when I made a multiplayer battle game 2 years back (that you can play here), and am trying to repurpose it to work for this game as we speak! I would love to play this with friends as much as everyone else ;D

Thanks! I'll definitely keep the item score in mind!
And no, theres no way to click on the items. The ball UI just shows you whatever you last picked up.

Thanks!
Yeah theres definitely plenty of tweaks to be made on the movement. Glad you liked it!

That's great to hear!
I have considered what a puzzle application of a game like this could be, so I'll def consider more linear levels
