I think the lighting deco requiring to be plugged into outlets is a misstep. It makes sense, understandably. But if they're wall hanging lights, it makes more sense to assume that the wiring is hidden in the walls.

Having a cable run down the wall into a nearby socket is just unsightly.

You are playing an older experimental 0.8.2 version, they don't have to be powered anymore.

Really? I'm pretty confident I'm playing the current release build. I'll try redownloading and see if there's a difference. Thanks~ :)

So, I can definitely confirm that this is the current 0.8.2 release.

This screencap was taken on a fresh save file, first things bought were these two lamps.

They still have the plugs.

(Also unrelated but relevant, the plugs constantly unplug from the wall sockets after each load-in. Known bug?)

You are definitely not on the latest release then, as both them having plugs and plugs unplugging from sockets on reload have been removed.

Okay so...

After seeing this, I checked my Votv install folder and I saw what went wrong. Even though the itch.io app had the update button that I hit, and such. It wasn't launching the new release build that it had just downloaded/updated. It was trapped in the classic 7z file in the directory. :')

Extracted, loaded up. Not only are the plugs gone, but the new drive boxes are there too.
