Really cool concept! I like the creative take on the theme. The fact that each one of the elements had a different puzzle obstacle to it was really cool to see, made progressing trough the levels a lot more interesting! Even though some of them were just... "purple"
Having to constantly re-spin to get what you want after you defeat all the wheel defenders did get a bit tedious. I wish instead of it being completely random, it still picked an element at random, but eventually made sure to land on all of them, I had to re-spin like 30 times on one level to get what I want... The levels were pretty well designed. Each one of them was a GAUNTLET to beat though, especially because of that elementalist wheel defender... damn he was ANNOYING. Each one of the levels probably took me more than 30 minutes to beat, and there was so many! Almost to the point where it didn't feel like a boss rush... (maybe im just bad though? i didn't really see anyone else struggling as much i was so maybe im actually just really bad lmao)
The bosses themselves weren't much easier either. I really liked the boss designs though, loved how chaotic the wheel made them sometimes, especially on the third phase of the wheel fight... what even was that... There was some really annoying stuff though, like if you got darkness or the water rising element at any point it made it basically impossible, and the warnings for the lightning on the second boss were practically useless because of how chaotic they were, like even if you stand in the safe areas most of the time they hit you. Overall though, the bosses are a really fun experience, great job on them!
The combat was nice, but most of the time didn't feel very good. There was such low invincibility frames that it was so easy to get stun locked by enemies, which just got very frustrating. Also, the attack animation too so long that it just doesn't very good to use. Apparently you have more iframes on easy mode? i don't think shouldn't be the case. The low iframes makes it more annoying, not harder. I think with just more invincibility frames and a faster attack the combat would feel a lot better! Other than that though, the character felt really nice to control, very responsive, especially liked the jumping and falling animations!
This was a really cool experience, beating the game genuinely felt like an accomplishment. I think I got the standard ending? I killed the wheel and a bunch of those mysterious figures watched me kneel to the king? I think? Definitely not replaying it to get a different ending though, I think I spent like 6 hours straight beating it. No idea how you guys were able to put this much story, and content, and bosses into this in only a month. This is an insanely cool game!
