This game was really fun! Great art style, and story. I like how the cat was both an animal tied to gameplay AND a projectile. Very clever take on the rating criteria.

My only caveat would be that the cat was constantly killing himself. Especially during the at the 3x3 throwing puzzle. I must have died 100 times. If he had some kind of collision check during the logic to follow the player I think that would go a long way.

Anyways, great work! I really loved your submission!

100% agreeing with PieroTechnical! Such an amazing game, so many cool ways you explored this duality!

for the 3x3 puzzle I found myself holding down both mouse buttons, releashing the one to throw and keep the cat in place with the left (worked, but then I accidentally kept pushing the cat off the ledges while moving to the buttons)

Amazingly polished game!

Thanks so much and appreciate you copping 100 deaths! That makes a lot of sense and wouldn't have been a difficult change, I feel like when developing it - the challenge of it felt fun at the time (of my 3am delusion), but after the jam I can see that its more of an exploitation of making the controls feel cumbersome rather than focusing on making the puzzle more engaging. Will take this feedback forward with me!

Yea the cat killing himself on that puzzle was a little 'extra' haha. Especially since the only way to figure out the order to traverse the buttons was to throw the cat and reload if you got it wrong. But overall, it was an awesome entry and I can't wait to see what's next for you.
