This is very good. I think the way in which you've used the theme and depicted things here is thought-provoking without being too cloying. I think the ending is a little ambiguous too - although the game overtly discusses guilt and suicide, the ending ambiguously suggests the main character is able to discard these feelings too and move on when push comes to shove. It is challenging to write about genocide and violence and I think there's an interesting dynamic to explore around the perspective of the perpetrator, not to centre them in that conversation but to challenge the idea that perpetrators are unaffected by the trauma they inflict, nor are they necessarily innocent bystanders who do indeed feel guilty for what they do, or at least not for the right reasons. Interesting stuff.
For a short jam game, you've worked within the limitations of what you can do really well - making the most use of that creepy muscular anatomical mesh and using similar assets to layout the underground area where the atrocity occurs. This section is very effective due to the pretty confronting sound effects and animations that strongly signal to the player that they are doing something deeply wrong. For constructive feedback, this section did wear out its impact a little due to needing to hunt every target down, and the repetition of the assets did make it a bit difficult to navigate. But, in a way, that's the point, isn't it? It becomes less self-defence and more of a manhunt.
Playing your games over the past few jams has been really cool. It's clear you've come a long way and now that is expanding into creating games with more complex narratives. Can't wait to see what you do next!
