I started out stuck in the ground and had to jump around to get unstuck. I didn't really see any progress when an item was verified as a genuine collectable. When the time runs out the screen turns black and says, "Construction Halted!" In this menu I can't move the mouse to press any of the buttons and I can still hear the player moving around when I press WASD even though the menu is on screen. I had to alt f4 to exit the game. It has a great art style though!

Thanks for playing Pick & Verify and for your detailed feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know about your experience.

  • Stuck in the Ground Issue: Could you let me know exactly where you got stuck? I haven’t run into that problem during my tests, so your details will really help me track down the cause and fix it.

  • Verification Feedback: Sorry for not adding more progress indicators for item verification I was running out of time. I had planned to include additional visual and audio cues, and I hope to implement these improvements in a future update.

  • End Screen Bugs: It sounds like the input lock isn’t fully working when the game ends. I’ll make sure to address the mouse issue and disable movement properly. Could you clarify if the mouse pointer is completely absent on the “Construction Halted!” screen, or if it’s just not responding when you move it?

  • I know some features are still incomplete, as mentioned in the game description. I’m glad you enjoyed the art style, and I truly appreciate your feedback it helps me prioritize what to fix and improve next. Thanks again for playing!

Everywhere near the very beginning of the game, near the yellow tuck and near the verification table, has very iffy physics. You get stuck a lot and have to jump around. At the "Construction Halted!" Screen, the mouse is invisible and doesn't seem to be moving around. My debugging skills tell me it's because it is still making the player look around in the game rather than making the mouse move on the screen. I also recommend allowing the player to navigate the menu with the arrow keys or WASD. Or even just ESC/Enter since it's a simple yes or no menu.
