Thanks for playing my game! I'm still new to game development, so I apologize if you had any issues. Could you please let me know what problems you're experiencing with the inventory? If you're referring to the icons, I'm sorry I haven't had enough time to complete the icon generator tool to create icons for all the items. I really appreciate your feedback!

Nice art and sound! But the inputs are hard to keep up with. Also, the traps don’t really look like traps, so every time I encountered a new one, I had to restart the whole level. And by the way, that death jumpscare me every time! The last one scared me so much that I quit. I know its not an horror game, I guess that’s just my own problem! 😆
Nice art! But the camera movement feels a bit too fast I sometimes got lost in the void and couldn't find my way back. Another small thing (not a big deal, but I wanted to mention it): I think you forgot to set the music audio source's spatial blend to 2D. When I move far from the center, the volume decreases.
Thanks for playing Pick & Verify and for your detailed feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know about your experience.

Stuck in the Ground Issue: Could you let me know exactly where you got stuck? I haven’t run into that problem during my tests, so your details will really help me track down the cause and fix it.

Verification Feedback: Sorry for not adding more progress indicators for item verification I was running out of time. I had planned to include additional visual and audio cues, and I hope to implement these improvements in a future update.

End Screen Bugs: It sounds like the input lock isn’t fully working when the game ends. I’ll make sure to address the mouse issue and disable movement properly. Could you clarify if the mouse pointer is completely absent on the “Construction Halted!” screen, or if it’s just not responding when you move it?
I know some features are still incomplete, as mentioned in the game description. I’m glad you enjoyed the art style, and I truly appreciate your feedback it helps me prioritize what to fix and improve next. Thanks again for playing!
That's what I'm saying it didn't help me but confused me even more. The card always has two faces, and the guide lists values for both. For example, if one face is $1 and the other is $3, do I add both values and enter that in the input field before selling, or is it something else? I tried both adding and not adding, but I always lose. Also, I know I need to check things like the card name and stats before valuation, right?
Hey, thanks! Glad you like it. The game is still in development, but I’m kind of stuck because I’m not getting any puzzle ideas right now, so I feel like I’m just wasting time. I actually finished the game a couple of days ago, but since my code is modular, it’s super easy to create new puzzles I just don’t know what kind of puzzles to make. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Yeah, don’t worry, I’ll definitely give you proper credits. I’ll also be happy to help you complete your game as well! As I mentioned, my game was finished a couple of days ago, but I’m just looking for fresh ideas to improve it. I’ve made my code modular, so we can easily reuse it to create new puzzles and expand on things. Let me know how you’d like to proceed!
Aaa just for reminder :
Hey there!
If you’re still looking to team up, I’m available! To be honest, I don’t usually team up because I’m not entirely sure how it works in jams, but I’d love to give it a try. I’m primarily a coder, and I’ve made most of my game already, but I could really use some help coming up with puzzles.
My brain isn’t the best at thinking up clever or engaging ideas, so I thought maybe we could brainstorm puzzles together, or you could share some ideas that would fit well with my project.
By the way, my game is called "Forgotten Threads". I started it with the jam theme in mind, but somewhere along the way, I veered off track a little. That said, it still connects to the theme in a meaningful way!
If you’re interested, I’d love to chat and collaborate with you. Let me know what you think! 😊
Yes, absolutely! Even if you're completely new to game development, you can definitely participate. Nobody starts with experience in everything—most developers, like me, rely on assets for things outside their main skills, like 3D or 2D art, sound, or animation. Since you're already skilled in digital art, you’re bringing valuable talent to the table!
If you'd like, you can also form a team. You could join the community’s Discord to find others looking for a teammate, or even ask a friend to join in. Game development is a great collaborative space, and you’ll find lots of people eager to team up and bring ideas to life.
Hey! I'd be happy to help you understand how it works, because I know how confusing it can feel. This is my second jam, and I figured it out by reading the whole overview page in my last jam. This time the overview page seems to have less info, maybe they’ll add more details later.
Since the jam is still 3 months away, a bit before it starts (not sure exactly when), there’ll be a voting period. The jam host will give us theme options to vote on, and the one with the most votes will be chosen as the theme. It’ll be announced on the main page, Discord, and in a YouTube community post.
If you need any help, just let me know I’d be happy to help!
Rate my game—it's my first one, and it would make me and my family really happy to get some ranking! If you rate mine, I'll gladly rate yours too! :) : https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2968644
