Very very nice presentation and aesthetic, but walking the same scenic route repeatedly isn't fun.

Gameplay-wise, you get nothing from replaying it (literally no difference other than the day and soul counters going up). The idea I had for the game was that you guide souls to the afterlife. It's repetitive and never-ending, but that's your duty and somebody has to do it.  So the gameplay being a bit dull was a design choice for the fairy tale narrative I was going for. That said, there is a two week game jam by the same team I may join, and we're allowed to continue mini jam projects for it. I may do this and give the player a bit more to do (for instance, jumping and doing platforming sections).

Edit: For the new Jam, I'm considering blowing this entire level up and starting from scratch while keeping the existing mechanics plus adding several more.

I get that it's thematically appropriate, but I don't think that choice is well suited for games as a medium. I would like to see this world expanded and if you do I'd love to see what you and your team do with it.
