My bad! Yes characters/NPCs will be completely redone for the next major update 17. They almost haven't changed since the early versions 😊
This will include text colors among many other things.

It would be great if there could be custom icons for the characters and an expanded information panel such as custom stats (Homebrew and similar) as well as a way to track HP.
an interesting suggestion, if possible, would be the possibility to change the design of the NPCs, allowing the insertion of external files
