Unfortunately, we'd need more information to even begin to guess what might be happening. OS, OS version, is the game being run as administrator? Have you tried running it in compatibility mode?
Windows 10 OS. I've run it in multiple compatibility modes, and tried to run it as an administrator. When I run compatibility mode or run compatibility troubleshooter, it still doesn't work--I will click "test troubleshooter" (or whatever the exact phrase is), it doesn't open. I've tried downloading it to several different places. Every thing I try is the same--my computer acts as though it's loading (mouse pointer turns into a circle) but then never actually opens. I've tried downloading it straight to my computer and using the itch.io app--when I used the game manager app, it would show as loading and then wouldn't open (though it claims I've spent time playing it). I'm sure it's something really simple I'm doing wrong but I can't for the life of me figure out what.
Hmm... I'm not really sure what could be going on as the game was built on Windows, and our current machine runs on Windows 10, and the game still works perfectly fine. That said, we should have a new build that runs on a more up-to-date version of the game engine in a few days, so maybe that'll work?
Unsure if this will be helpful, but this is what the log says every time I try to run the program, no matter where I run it/install it from
