Would work well as a mobile game. I couldn't see the theme at all in this game. At the beginning my actions sort of felt like they had some impact, but when I ended up getting the same prompts and my actions didn't have any overall effect the game felt a little pointless. Would've liked some sort of trust meter where if your crew loses all trust in you then it's game over (or something like that).

That's actually what the 'crew' category is, hence why its bad ending ends in a mutiny. FlipFlip says the icons are meant to grow (which I can't see), but that was the intention in terms of the theme.
