This game is... made in scratch.... You could do so much better if you learned how to used a "real" game engine..

yes, I know. I was in a team and was only supposed to do some of the art and some of the code. Our team had a coder who had learned both the Godot engine and Unity. Unfortunately his computer broke down day of the jam so I had to improvise. I felt like I could do scratch, and for my first game in it I feel like it’s alright. But, I completely agree with you on that it would be better in an engine. My team might try and remake it later (for a learning experience) in unity or Godot.

Feels bad you lost team member due the HW.  But I have to say, a good job for taking the opportunity into your own hands, having fun and learning something!

i think people have a misconception about scratch. i think it's just as good as any other game engine its just that the language and the way you code is different. People think that scratch isn't good or isn't a "real game engine" because it's usually beginners who use it. you could check out my game, it's made on scratch, and it's probably better than some of the games made with unity or something else.(not trying to be egotistical or proud.)
