Man I really loved your feeback, of course i had my limits, also it was my very first game jam but there is no excuse. I really need to put more effort to understand how to comunicate more the ideas and you helped me a lot to understand how someone would actually play it. Would you mind trying play it again but knowing that time, that at any time you can click on these genes on top left of your screen: basically you have 2 types of heads and 2 types of legs. There's the fish head, with it you can swing on water with "W" and "S", with the rhino head, you can break those green boxes pressing "C" next to it. Theres's the kangaroo legs, with those you can kick the pink boxes pressing "Z" next to it and the frog legs which you did already understood (jump higher). It shoulb be a kinda of metroidvania, where you dont need to rely on a specific mutation to pass the stage, but actually i could only do this on the first one. I am also looking forward into making this game actually good , so you have a Discord or Twitter I would be more than grateful to share with you and happy to receive other players feedback.

(Sorry for my english thou, I'm from brazil lol).

ah i see, yes its a learning process. im really impressed actually, that you did all this and its only your first jam.

some common solutions to the lack of information problem include:
-showing the key you need to press on screen when it is applicable in context. in this case, you would show "C" when you have rhino head and are next to a green box
-making less button presses necessary. for example, instead of pressing "C", you could make the rhino head automatically break the green blocks

im looking forward to the updated version!
