I'm glad you like my game! Since hitting the ball is based on physics, if the ball is falling faster, you'll have to hit it multiple times to get it bouncing back up. It was an unintentional side effect during development but I opted to keep it in, because it helps to promote more careful play and punishes trying to rush too fast :). For the ice, it is actually intended to be a death sentence, but I like the idea of maybe being able to break free. I'll definitely consider it for an update post jam! I appreciate all the feedback :)
