This idea fits well as a 2d platformers! I enjoyed the art style and idea. Only complaint would be the physics as you know, which I actually had the same problem in my game believe it or not, and to fix it, I applied a physics material with no friction which I think you can also do in 2d? My idea to make it better would be to challenge the player more on the order of operations as this can really be explored using this mechanic and also more levels, but that wasn't your focus, so I'm glad you finished a project! (Projects can take a while...)

I will try to see if I can fix for the future the problems with physics with a material. I kind of relied too much on the rigidbodies and got punished for newbie errors. I was tinkering with other level designs but as I got the idea of having only 'one-screen' puzzles this got more difficult, but I agree completely on challenging the player on the order of actions. I tried that in the two later levels, but it could be better. Thanks for taking the time to analyze a bit!
