Ok, I might get a lot of hate for this (it is very popular), but I'm gonna be honest, this is one of the more frustrating game I played in this jam.

Now, visually, this is the best one, no doubt, 5/5 star in the Graphics portion. Your team clearly got a god level artist on your side.

BUT, the gameplay is so god damn frustrating, AGHH, I hate when such a beautiful game like this have such "Kaizo" level frustrating gameplay.

Since I like the look of this game, and I think there is a lot of effort put into this I'm gonna spend a little more time explaining my thoughts to you.

1) Although the windup mechanics is cool, it really stalls the gameplay progression. Every move you need to make, you need to hold down the button and wait for 2-3 seconds. Now that might not sound like much, but having to do this 100s of time just to traverse a simple obstacle, really annoys the hell out of a player. Ok, imagine being outside in real life, and you having to tie your shoelaces every 5 steps of the way, that is what this game makes me feel.

2) If you screw up even once on any jump, your robot will move backwards and reverse any progress you made. Now, this is fine, as long as it is reasonable, or the controls is smooth. But...

3) Every time you make a jump, the robot will 50% of the time halts midway and drop like a rock into some crevice/hole. Then you would have to go back and try to awkwardly bounce along the wall to get back up...but then you go in reverse and go to another hole at the back! This results in a very uncontrollable situation, where you just bounce around and walk backwards and you can't do anything about it, but wait for a wall. You can't even adjust your position precisely to prepare for a jump, if you are in a bad spot...too bad! Hit the wall and go back!

4) All the above problem was made apparent at the start of the game, It took me nearly 15mins and I was still stuck at the bottom of the tower all these time. Traversing upwards was borderline impossible.

5) And after all that, I gave up...not because of myself, but because the game gave up. What the heck do i mean? Apparently you can get stuck on a corner bouncing up and down forever, so I was stuck and I have to redo the whole game...yeah no thanks.

If you are planning to make another "Getting Over It" (hated games like these), then I guess this game is not for me.

Thank you for your feedback TheCakeConsortium! I will check out your game and rate it as well! I will also follow you so we can support each other's content in the future. :) This is the best feedback that we got so far and we are really appreciate it!

Thank you for the honest and insightful feedback. I totally understand the frustration the game can make you feel, especially when all your progress gets taken away by one simple mistake. I agree that we should have worked more on polishing the movement mechanics as well as map design. The team appreciates the time you put into this and we hope you have great days ahead!
