sorry maybe wasn't so clear, you can wait for your family in your room, it's the last room on the hallway, you can enter that and there's a cilinder trigger on that room
Ah okay, I got it working that time! I didn't see the cylinder there the first time I guess.
Okay, wow! Very ambitious game for a game jam! I'm impressed with what you got done! Reminded me a lot of To The Moon, a game which I really like.
Things I liked:
>Very unique for a game jam game! I definitely didn't expect to play a game like this, so thank you!
>The graphics were nice and cute
>Audio was peaceful and poignant, perfect for a game like this; i liked the banjo-kazooie style mumbling voices with the dialogue boxes too
Things to improve:
>The camera went behind walls a bit, particularly in enclosed spaces like rooms. Perhaps this is why i missed the cylinder to start off with. Some of the dialogue got cut off a bit in one piece (i think in 1943) due to the camera not being aligned correctly, but that wasn't a big issue.
>Movement was a bit slidy/sluggish; I dont think you want it faster in a game like this, but the slidey-ness made sense when Grace was in a wheelchair, but less so when she was walking around.
The scope is really large for a game jam! I think it is hard to make enough content to make us feel for someone we've only met minutes ago, I think you did a really good job, but the task is really hard, some parts weren't quite as impactful as others, but I think you did a good job!
Really appreciated it! Well done!
wow that's amazing hahaha i knew it had it's flaws but i wasn't thinking it was that good thanks hrhe
In the next version we'll try to polish some things like the movement and camera, also we would like to make tha path clearer, since a lot of people got a bit stuck at the begining and maybe add some story chapters that we had to cut out due to time restrictions.
Thanks a lot hehehe you really made our day :)
