After the help of a friend, I have finally gotten a chance to play the game.

I would just like to start off by saying that the 3D is PHENOMENAL.
Unfortunately, as a side effect of that, I couldn't really run the game very fast. Nothing above 10 fps. I am totally willing to give that a slide though since my laptop isn't actually that great, and I could totally be the only person experiencing this issue.

I guess I expected a little more something from all the issues I had trying to get the game working, but I suppose that's my own fault for expecting. I still liked the game.

There unfortunately wasn't that much gameplay, but this is alright since this was just a game jam game, and from reading the game's official page, I noticed that you guys aren't exactly veterans of Godot. I do hope you guys really like Godot and it continues to grow on you!

Edit:
I also totally forgot to mention how cool I think it is that you made something with your family! This is perhaps the best interpretation of the theme! The game itself doesn't exactly fit the theme, but the fact that it was made by a family totally counts in my book! Super creative, I love it!

thanks for the response. we are currently rebuilding the whole thing from scratch as both lag and mouse sensivity are major issues. the whole idea is to make it a more story driven game with RPG and survival elements. As we didn't found the time to figure out animation before the end of the jam there is not much gameplay at the moment. with what we have in mind for this level would normally give you 15-20 min gameplay and would function as a tutorial part. you discover a flashlight, an apple would lead to an explanation of the food/survival. the screwdriver would learn you to fix and build stuff. the "buildings" in the distance would give you a reason to wonder further in the world. and the spider is not something you would like to meet at night in the dark.

We did post this first as a HTML file, but performance was terrible and it did mess up the lights. if you are interested feel free to follow so you will get notifications when we post the rebuild.
