Where should I start? I'm totally stunned by this game. The idea is afaik unique and awesome, it is the most polished game I've seen so far in the jam (gameplay, introduction, effects, you even have a leaderboard). The game boy aesthetic is beautiful. I'm in love!

To find at least something to criticize: It would be nice if the tutorial mode could be turned off, as soon as you have learned how the game works.

Have you thought about making the little guy able to pass the turned blocks in a straight line, if the card at the other end is a match? That would enable even more advanced play.

I'm out of words, you have delivered big time, chapeau!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the game.

Yeah he tutorial thing could definitely be toggled off once the player has learned them. And obviously improved upon in other ways too. Hard to make even a decent tutorial without any proper playtesting.

Interesting idea that those solid blocks could be passed when matching cards on both sides. Surely it would fix the issue of unreachable pockets of space. But dunno if it would make predicting the movements even harder than it is currently with some not so easily to noticed accidental matches. On the other hand though it would also lessen the probability of accidental dead ends early on.
