Good story, well adjusted to the theme. Never expected it to be that long, especially for a game jam. Though partly it's that long because the nature of RPGMaker games is always slightly grindy.
Things I've noticed:
0. It's good that you added descriptions to many background items. Although in the end many items had same description, like food in the noble's house or skeletons in the southern dungeon, that was slightly boring.
1. Typo 'espcae' instead of 'escape'
2. Initial tutorial fight is broken. After he tells you to use a magic attack, all other things are locked. After three attacks you run out of mana and just can't do anything anymore.
3. Choosing 'optimize' equipment initially gives you shield, however the character just tells you that he doesn't have a shield because he has no money
4. It seems that candies are little bit broken in boss fights. When I was eating hard candy in elast boss fight, it seems that it worked like the boss was eating it, it gave him paralysis and healed his hp. Took me some time to understand that 'using' is in fact supposed to be eating and it's just bugged, and I should use 'magic' feeding instead. Also in a fight with rocky and stinky you choose to feed the candy to one of them, however both are fed at once.
5. Timer in collapsing ruins combined with monster encounters. It still runs in battles. So I'd suggest just stopping the timer for the monster encounters or disable encounters completely (because why would anybody engage in fight while running from the falling roof?)
6. 'Search the house before leaving' is a little bit annoying, I searched many items several times before I understood what's wrong. I wasn't aware that the journal cabinet is in fact having two different entries for two different cells it occupies, and you should read both of them. Maybe you should add the 'shining star' thingy which marks important items.
7. Sometimes 'Ramen' is mentioned as 'Romeo'.
8. Is the sign post on the southern island supposed to have no text?
9. The ending says 'hidden ending - the journey still awaits'. Are there other endings? The plot looked pretty linear with no choices, so I'm a little bit confused.
