I'm thinking of creating The Rat, just a real subservient toady of a playbook.  Most of their abilities would be focused on avoiding negative attention. Sort of like The Slide, but cowardly instead of smooth.

I like the sound of that! Would be cool to add mechanics around avoiding Heat, or maybe a form of Help/Group Action that is more detrimental to the Rat than usual, but offers some extra benefit to the Crew.

I was just about to say that I was going for more of a selfish coward type , so a self-sacrificing ability probably wouldn't work thematically; but now that I'm thinking about it, it would be fun to have an ability where other players get advantage for sacrificing you on their own.

This is a cool niche! Would love to see it. I imagine their abilities would have a lot of upsides and a lot of downsides.

Thanks! I'm thinking they'll be high risk, high reward. Either flying under people's radars, or immediately distrusted by everyone in the room.

I like it! I was thinking of something similar, inspired by Adam Koebel’s design sessions for Womb Of Night. He worked on a playbook named “the Scum” which had, as a touchstone,  Grima Wormtongue for example. Really neat idea!

Nice! Haven't seen that, but Wormtongue is exactly what I was going for. Him and Starscream.
