I just finished playing through this. It was very rough, but I had a lot of fun with it! I noticed that this is marked as a prototype on the game page, so I guess the roughness makes sense.

I'm assuming the majority of the development time was spent on the art, because it is absolutely the highlight here. It's all very nice, and matches well. There are a few different styles on display but they all go together nicely. The character animations are a bit, but I think that was deliberate, and they're very smooth and natural. I appreciate the little details like Mina's ponytail and neck thing (yes, I don't know what that's called).

Although I did notice that some of the character portraits were cut off- was the dialogue system going to be a different style originally?

The gameplay is fun in general, and all the elements are there, but it needs some tweaking. This is kinda subjective, but it feels "sticky"- movement isn't fluid. It can also be hard to avoid taking damage in some cases.

But... there seems to be no incentive to transform. The minigun doesn't fire faster than I can fire the pistol by hammering the fire button, doesn't seem to do more damage, and can't be fired while crouching. I think this would work better if the minigun was considerably better than the pistol or there were other benefit to transforming.

There's also an easy degenerate strategy for defeating the boss but I'm not sure if I would count that as a positive or negative.

The story is witty, and I like where (I think) it's going, but playing through I feel like I'm missing context. A thin story is understandable if this is more of a prototype, but it's something to think about if you keep going with this.

The music and sound work well enough although it does feel like a bit of an afterthought. There's also a bug of sorts where enemies can kill you during conversations, and the conversations themselves are a bit clunky. Finally, I won't spoil the ending, but it really does feel like an "oh crap I'm out of time" thing.

Do you have any plans to develop this further? I think there's a really good game here.

yay thanks for playing xcvg sempai!!!!!!... there a a lot of thing that i rushed and don't make to deliver it in time, it is quite hard to  develop it on 2 hours daily... the diferent art stuff mostly because i never have made pixel art before and the poitraits are all made in two days or 4 hours lol... din't have even time to make the line art properly... sorry for bugged game lol.. the true is when you transform you can hold the button to shoot.

i don't plan to develop it furher because it kinda meet its purpose ...there is to showcase my skills ,i plan to join a group or some project and its is difficult to prove that you can do something.... now they will see the game and run away lol.

thanks again hopeful that you develop shattered 2.

That's fair. I'm kind of disappointed you're not taking this further but I totally understand your reasoning. I'd say your strength is definitely with art- if you'd told me pixel art was your bread and butter I would have believed you as it is very well done.

Shattered 2 is more a matter of when than if now; I had tentatively planned it for the end of this year but I've decided to take a break in October and this year has been so unpredictable I don't know what my November and December will look like. So it may end up being next year instead.
