First of all: Sorry to ImOwl and the other readers that this derailment happens in a threat about game recommendations.
As for Gamevit: Thanks for the offer of a free code, but I’m good.
I critiqued the way you represent your work - mainly because you abused the forum. Simultaneous to your post here you posted what should rather have been an release announcement right here in the general discussions. (A link for those interested.) And if I remember correctly, you already abused the release announcements before that, spamming those with multiple announcements for the same game. Imagine if everybody did that! We couldn’t hold a decent conversation because every developer sounded like a spam-bot. I did think before I acted: “What kind of community do I prefer?” And the answer was clear to me.
This forum is not your personal advertisement tool. If you use it with no regards for other users people will call you out on it. Today, I was just the first to respond - and I did it in this thread because I was absolutely certain that your other thread would be archived.
I get it: You are frustrated because not many people want to play your game. But on today’s market, there’s steep competition and you can’t expect your very first game to do well - especially if you put a price tag on something that another developer might not even publish. You have said you read my posts. Honestly, I’m happy you took that time. But I doubt you understood them. I point out issues to improve the situation - not to belittle anyone. Although, granted: In this particular case I chose to improve the situation by calling out your shady business practices - in the hope you would maybe feel ashamed and stop making things worse for the community as a whole as well as yourself. I’m sure I’m not the only person that has noticed you spamming. Landing on peoples’ block lists certainly won’t improve the popularity of your games.
And lastly, for all our teenage readers: If I was 14 year old (which would certainly be nice for me) it would not improve your situation or your work in any way.
