Hello!
I haven't yet completed the demo (I have been grinding a bit for JP, those animations are quite nice.) but i do have some small feedback. Expect more after i am done grinding. ;)
Alright:
So far the music is pretty dang good, as are visuals. I don't really have complaints there.
Storywise i really can't say yet how good it is given how short I am into it yet, but it seems like a solid idea so far. So far it seems like a pretty standard RPG experience. But I am sure with how much work was put into this for the visuals and the like, that i can expect some twists and turns at some point. Even if not, standard RPG isn't bad if it is done well.
Gameplay wise:
I am not sure if that will be possible later, it isn't yet, but if it isn't i would vote for being able to change the main class of the character. So i can make Warren a cleric/mage. Instead of a knight/mage or knight/cleric (currently grinding the fighter to get the JP up ability since i tested and the 20% exp bonus from cleric works if the class isn't equipped.) but that is merely a personal preference and would make balancing probably harder. Furthermore I noticed when i switched from cleric to mage that the mage doesn't even know a single spell. So i would also hope that we can know a single spell upon switching to it. Maybe some weak throwaway spell that is only usefull for for an option that you don't need to attack normally.
I didn't yet get to the point to try spells, i will do that later this day when i continue my cave grind, but from what i looked at they seem rather expensive, at least for early. I mean 6 MP for the weakest wizard spell when you have like 43 MP as a level 2 wizard and a level 7 knight with the tunic it is really, really expensive. The same seems for most spells. I would honestly think that decreasing the MP cost, at least for the weaker spells and maybe some stronger ones depending on the MP pool later, is a good idea. But as i said i didn't yet get to try multiple spells. MP/HP seem pretty low alltogether if i am to be honest, maybe thats what you are going for, but yeah compared to foes the HP is pretty low. But that might only seem so. Also the cost for abilities and passives just... is pretty weirdly distributed. I would think passives should be more expensive and most active skills a bit below that. Given most passives so far aren't all that strong but still. It just seems weird to me.
