bought the game for six bucks but for some reason i can't buy any pets? there's just an "x" where the pets are supposed to be....

I've been trying to find that out for awhile now and turns out for itch.io the terms and service won't allow pets or something like that.

For pets go to steam and buy the DLC

Unless you're affected by the problems with Steam having been a known health risk for some people for almost a year now, in which case, there's no way to get them.

Yes, Steam the game store has been a health hazard since the new library update that happened at the end of October last year, and has been known to be so since early November, and Valve the game company who made Steam have been actively making the problem worse since the end of May this year.

I've looked at the other things you've said in this comment section and it's pretty much all 'STEAM IS A HEALTH HAZARD AND' (somehow) 'CAUSES MEDICAL HARM' how the hell can a game store cause harm to others it's a GAME STORE. Please give me evidence because I'm not believing you as a guy who has been using steam for ages and hasn't spontaneously dropped dead.
