This would be a lot easier to play if the field were a little narrower, and if there were a drop shadow or at least some sort of grid indication.

Yeah, I've been considering adding a shadow-y helper like this in the near future to make things easier!

Okay, now I can actually get far enough for it to get funny and interesting.

lol, I should add pieces in those shapes as a reference...
