I never really made games in Unity2D. I have to say that Unity has more documentation and a bigger community. It may also be more powerful. I use GDevelop because of it's event system which i really love. It doesn't have much documentation but what it does have is enough and written very well

I don't usually watch video tutorials., but i've heard that Wishforge Games makes good tutorials
