It's a cool game you must be really worked hard on it. But I think there is a performance problem in this one, with every enemy game became really laggy and my gpu usage got higher accordingly

For some reason it didn't run very well. I'm not sure how much you would have been able to do about it, tho. Loved the art style, but one thing I didn't like as much was the controls. I'm not familiar with gdevelop, but unity has a way to get both WASD and arrow keymovement at the same time. Might be something to look into. The way to do it in Unity is using Input.GetAxisRaw(string axisName), which returns a number between -1 and 1 depending on the input gathered. Then you can use that make a vector that will move the player. Hope this helps! :)

I know it's possible to do in GDevelop. However, i first wanted to finish everything else, since WASD was not on the top of my list of things to add. Deadline came and WASD did not get implemented. However, if i ever update the game i will definitely add WASD

This looks amazing! Main character is really cute, I like how fast the animation is. Glow and CRT effect look beautiful and also the potions and generally the tiles - very nice looking game can only rate it 5/5 for graphics!

The gameplay is nice, but also a bit too simple. I think you have a really nice basis here, but you could have made more with it. Maybe 2 more enemies that have HP maybe or perhaps enemy filled rooms. It was overall too easy, I never lost more than 1 HP and there were too many potions to fill it up again.

But really, great game for a jam. Well done!

Edit: I had no lag at all playing in the browser.

i downloaded the zip file for windows and it runs very poorly on my pc, i don't even know why. It really has like 1 fps. My setup is i5 4210  and Nvidia Geforce 840m. It's a shame i can't play cause it seems like a really good game :(

Okay 5#.

Art: 10/10 - You even made the walls look like they're 3D! The CRT effect lags a lot so It's recommended to not play on web version but on pc versions.

Music: 10/10 - Nice!

Gameplay: 9/10 - Like before, the CRT effect affects the fps by a lot, I could like to recommend adding settings panel if you can somehow lower the lag with CRT. Also lower the brightness of the text.

Note: This game requires Mouse and arrows, I wish you can play it with also awsd controls.

Overall rate: 9.5/10 - Good job. I appreciate your work!

a good game with minimal bugs!
Do check out mine too!

That's very good! I had fun playing this! You can rate my game if you want : )

It's extremely entertaining despite being simple. I didn't experience any lags , and I had a very smooth gameplay . The only detail i would change is the hp and energy powerups, after the first dungeon you become too strong because you don't need to refill as often

Developer

Due to alot of people liking the game, i may make an upgraded version after the Jam

I will balance the power-ups, create more levels and add wasd controls.

I never really made games in Unity2D. I have to say that Unity has more documentation and a bigger community. It may also be more powerful. I use GDevelop because of it's event system which i really love. It doesn't have much documentation but what it does have is enough and written very well

I don't usually watch video tutorials., but i've heard that Wishforge Games makes good tutorials

Developer

I am very confused. When i play the game i do not get any lag, but a lot of other people do.

It lags online due to me being extremely bad at optimizing :p

Really good!

I like this game, but it's very laggy and it's very hard to control with arrows

Developer

read my other comments, desktop may run better. Hopefully the lag didn't ruin the experience for you.

Submitted

I like the gameplay, the problem is the game is a little laggy(only test the browser version), and some minor UI glitches happen randomly. Would hope to see more enemies, and how many keys needed to open the door(if the uncertainty of that is proposed then nvm)

Submitted

It's a pretty solid game, I especially like the UI. I had a few problems though, such as the low frame rate, the fact that I could not use the wasd keys

Developer

try the desktop version, it should run better :)

Submitted

Nice work. Would suggest allowing WASD controls, but that's minor

Developer

I fixed the lag issue!

Submitted

Very Cool Game! Just one thing you should be aware of, the game runs very slow, like its slow to the point where there is a 1 second delay between when you press the right arrow key and the player starts moving.

Developer

It's fixed now :)

Nice!

By far one of the best games yet! The only thing is, you can only use the arrow keys to move, I would implement WASD-Controlls too.

Developer

That is definitely one of the things i will add after the jam! I already thought about doing it but I kept delaying it so much that it isn't in the game. Anyway, thanks for playing!

I really like this game! Probably best game right now! The only minus is i have low fps

Developer

I did not experience low FPS. What levels of FPS are we talking about?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

first. I started the game and fps was low, like 20 or smth like that
