DAY 2
So, I had the chance to experiment with Unity for only about 2-3 hours today. I live in the illusion that I have some kind of social life.
But, now I'm gonna do some kind of checklist for the game (because I saw it some other devlog).
- 2d platform engine basics (duh)
- Graphics:
- Tilesets and scenery stuff
- Machinery
- Backgrounds
- Main hero
- Monsters (shitty names for now, gonna change them):
- Fiend
- Buggy fiend
- Spiky
- Boss: SkeleSpider-ish thing I guess
- Story screen graphics
- Golem bro
- Sounds & music
- Level design
- Code the stuff
- Cool swooshy effects and particles
- I do not know where I'm going with this list
- But I'm gonna put some cool particles
- Fireworks might be cool
- What tf am I doing with my life?
"If everything is done and I have nothing to do" checklist:
- Put the Golem dude as purchaseable (summonable/craftable etc, you've got the idea) and it will fight alongside you
- Mountain quest - so you'd have to walk away from your base for about 2-3 days and go to the jungle/mountains/deepsea to get some shit or etc
- More graphics and tileset wizardry.
- Mounts - it is always cool to ride hybrid chickens like chocoboses
- Armor.
- More than 1 base
- More bosses and scary scary skeletons
And I've accomplished 0% of this. I'm so proud.
