Man, this is great! It's executed really well into a fast-paced, action-packed game! I think the player sprites are great but maybe choose either a less-detailed one for next time, or detail the environment more for it all to fit together nicely! Overall, amazing work, especially for your first game jam! Congrats - it was awesome! :D
