This is a great idea!  I was surprised at how many unique effects and mechanics there were, and I like how it feels like it could be a physical game, with units drawn on real paper, placed on a board or sheet.  Reminds me of something to play during lunch at school.  I did find some of the information hard to read, the numbers and icons are not very prominent when the cards are on the board,  and there is no indication which is attack or defense without mousing over the card.  Also the self replicating dog seemed OP lol.  I cant speak for balance too much because I only played a few games against the CPU, and sometimes it would send its monarch out in the open or let it get blown up by its own guys.  It's also really cool that you made the project as a family.

Yeah need to work balance out for sure. And improve the AI. Defiantly plan on working more on it. Jam motivated me to get it into playable shape.

Left to myself I would still be adding in different unit types. My daughter can come up with ideas all day long and I wanna make them all :)
