Thank you very much for your feedback! If you go on the game page/play the start menu, dice upgrades and chips are explained. The values of stars, hearts and men are not stated in game but are also on the game page to read.
PICO-8's characters are limited so I had to save a lot of the tutorial stuff for the game page to read ^^'
I will make sure to add more to the page to make some mechanics a bit clearer though :)
