  • Unrelated to the game itself but I really like your game studio’s splash screen (I refreshed the tab several times so I could see it)

  • I’m not a fan of how big the window size is (scrolling is a pain since I can’t scroll while my mouse is over the game window). I would prefer it to be smaller but with a fullscreen button added. I also can’t see the entire game at once so I ended up zooming out to about 80%

  • This is just a nitpick but the main menu’s title animation has some weird pixels near the bottom of some of the letters

  • I don’t know how but when I started, I had already switched character (I must have pressed left control by mistake) so I was really confused until I died

  • I found myself bumping my head a lot when jumping (I think the collider is a bit too wide)

  • It’s very easy to soft-lock yourself. For example, on the first level I accidentally blocked off the exit using a block

  • Sometimes it’s not very clear what the pressure plates do until you stand on them

  • It took me way too long to beat the first level because I didn’t realise the blocks could activate the pressure plates but it was very satisfying when I finally beat it

  • Related to the collider issue I mentioned earlier (with the head-bumping) but I think the player should be able to fall down in this scenario

  • Maybe I missed it in the first level but I don’t think the game explains that the other robot can use left shift to create a platform for the player (I used it for the beginning of level 2 but I only realised because I had misclicked at some point)

  • Perhaps I’m just bad but I found it really difficult. I wasn’t able to get passed level 2 and I didn’t understand what these squiggly tiles above me or the computer-like thing closer to the right-side of the level were

  • I really like the music. Despite it being a bit repetitive I didn’t get bored of it

  • I don’t know if this was intentional but it looks like the robots are dancing along to the music which is cute

  • The art style is really charming. I wish some things were more emphasised though (like how you made the player sprites use a contrasting color) such as the info signs in level 1

Wow, thank you for your detailed review. We are three guys and we had a lot of work to do all the days, yes, we will polish the game with more time, like when a bot gets pushed into the ceiling. I'am sorry for that glitch, but we are on it.

Yeah, the basic idea of the game was not to be beaten too easily, like many games today are too easy imo. Some details we can explain better in a future update, like the small bot can jump on top of the big bots shield.

The issue in the title screen is just happen in the web version, not the desktop version and we did not found out the solution in time.

You should not see the entire scene, that is why you can jump between the character with left control. It is more the way, the play should play around and learn the game his own way, make mistakes, learn out of it and get better, as level 9 and 10 needs full knowledge of everything.

When you push a block too early it is exactly like that what should happen, the player must restart the level, learn and repeat. And yes, it is the feeling what we want to create, when you solved the puzzle, you exactly described it yourself. It is uplifting, that is how games decades ago were created.

Hope you manage to see the outro and check out if the bots can manage to escape.

I attached some images but they don’t seem to be coming through because of itch.io’s server issues: https://imgur.com/a/TtQCksf
