Could you please elaborate on how and where you got stuck on that door? Sounds like a bug from how you described it.

Ah! I know what you're talking about now, yeah you're supposed to mix both potions to create timed explosives that can be used on that first lower button you encounter in the level, that button activates the exit door.
I wish I had created wires to show how what every button in every level connects to, but I didn't have time!
